I Want To Be Recycled

Imagine a plastic bottle that dreams of becoming a pair of jeans, a steel food can that wants to breeze by as a bicycle, or a shampoo bottle that continues to bring smiles to the beautiful faces of children as a hairbrush. Would you help to make their dreams come true if you could?

Cigarette Litter Prevention Program

The Cigarette Litter Prevention Program®, created by Keep America Beautiful in 2002, is the nation's largest program aimed at eliminating cigarette litter.

America Recycles Day

America Recycles Day® (ARD), a Keep America Beautiful national initiative, is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Each year, on and in the weeks leading into Nov. 15, thousands of communities across the country participate in ARD by promoting environmental citizenship and taking action to increase and improve recycling in America.

The Dr Pepper Snapple/Keep America Beautiful Park Recycling Bin Grant program is designed to build or expand recycling opportunities in park settings such as urban parks, neighborhood parks with playgrounds, athletic fields, regional and state parks, public beaches and developed public water front areas such as board walks. The program provides recycling bins to local communities through grants awarded annually.

Hefty EnergyBag Grant Program

The Hefty® EnergyBag® program is a groundbreaking initiative that collects hard-to-recycle plastics at curbside and converts them into valuable energy resources. Dow and Reynolds Consumer Products collaborated to create this innovative program, which complements existing curbside recycling, enabling communities to collect plastic items they can’t recycle – like juice pouches, candy wrappers, foam packaging materials, and plastic dinnerware – in Hefty® EnergyBag® orange bags. Dow and Keep America Beautiful established a grant program to support communities that want to implement the Hefty® EnergyBag® Program and achieve positive long-term environmental and economic advantages, including fewer plastics ending up in landfills.

Education and behavior change are the cornerstones of Keep America Beautiful. We strive to educate and empower generations of community and environmental stewards with curricula and real-world experiences that teach the essentials of proactive community citizenship, including the preservation of our natural resources.
