National Planting Day
National Planting Day is a fall initiative of the Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest community improvement campaign. National Planting Day encourages the 600-plus Keep America Beautiful affiliates and other partners to create beautiful spaces in public places and at home by planting pollinator gardens and native species.
Hefty EnergyBag Grant Program
The Hefty® EnergyBag™ program is a groundbreaking initiative, led by Dow and Reynolds Consumer Products, that collects previously hard-to-recycle plastics at curbside and converts them into valuable energy resources. The program is a significant step towards achieving positive long-term environmental and economic advantages, including fewer plastics ending up in landfills.
Recycle-Bowl is Keep America Beautiful’s fun and exciting national in-school recycling competition for K-12 students, teachers, school administrators, school facility managers, PTA/PTO and other parent groups, and local recycling advocates. The contest to see which schools collect the most recyclables runs for four weeks each fall, culminating on America Recycles Day, Nov. 15.
Education and behavior change are the cornerstones of Keep America Beautiful. We strive to educate and empower generations of community and environmental stewards with curricula and real-world experiences that teach the essentials of proactive community citizenship, including the preservation of our natural resources.
Recycling at Work
“Recycling at Work” is a voluntary national effort to increase recycling in the workplace. The program offers businesses a 10-step action plan, discounts on recycling bins, and other valuable tools to start and expand a workplace recycling program. Dr Pepper Snapple Group/Keep America Beautiful Park Recycling Bin Grant Program
The Dr Pepper Snapple/Keep America Beautiful Park Recycling Bin Grant program is designed to build or expand recycling opportunities in park settings such as urban parks, neighborhood parks with playgrounds, athletic fields, regional and state parks, public beaches and developed public water front areas such as board walks.The program provides recycling bins to local communities through grants awarded annually.
Coca-Cola Recycling Grant
The Coca-Cola/Keep America Beautiful Public Space Recycling Bin Grant is designed to expand access to recycling in public spaces in communities across America. Since 2007, nearly 900 organizations including schools, local governments, universities and other community groups have received grants providing more than 45,000 recycling bins. The program is funded through a grant from The Coca-Cola Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Coca-Cola Company.
