Keep Knoxville Beautiful's "Beautification Mob" Brightens Highway Exits

In November 2015, more than 220 Keep Knoxville Beautiful volunteers planted 60,000 daffodil bulbs on three I-275 exits around Knoxville, Tennessee.

With a generous Waste Management Think Green Grant, Keep Knoxville Beautiful volunteers returned to two of the exits on Saturday, March 26, to plant 104 crepe myrtles with the help of 52 volunteers.

While the daffodils give a gorgeous pop of spring color to this otherwise drab approach to Knoxville's downtown, these flowering crepe myrtles will add color, height, and year-round interest. Together these projects have dramatically improved the beauty of the city at an important gateway from the north.
