Harriette Treloar
Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful

Harriette Treloar is one of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s most committed volunteers and in 2014 she was honored as Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s Volunteer of the Year. Over the past 8 years she has volunteered for all of KTMB’s events including gathering trash at KTMB’s Great Community Cleanup and Truckee River Cleanup, to training community volunteers for KTMB’s Christmas Tree Recycling. In 2014, Harriette orchestrated a very successful raffle and silent auction, raising almost $12,000 for KTMB’s 25th Anniversary. Harriette loves the environment and enjoys volunteering with KTMB alongside other community members who have a similar passion. She especially enjoys KTMB’s Christmas Tree Recycling program because it allows the community to see the full circle of recycling. KTMB annually collects 10,000 trees, preventing them from entering the landfill. The trees are chipped into mulch which is used for erosion and weed abatement projects at area parks. Harriette volunteers for several local nonprofits and KTMB is honored that she chooses to donate so much of her time and energy to keeping the Truckee Meadows beautiful.

Keep America Beautiful has a strong national network of affiliates and partners that work with millions of volunteers who take action in their communities.
