The diverse American landscape consists of many different "community environments," each with their own interconnected needs and challenges. With a national network of nearly 1000 local affiliates and participating organizations, we combine education with hands-on stewardship to address the needs of communities on an intensely local and effective level.

The results are in and it looks like Greenville really has become Greenerville! The city unveiled a new campaign challenging residents to increase their recycling. And they did! 
Keep America Beautiful joined Earth Day New York for the EDAY40 celebration in New York City's Times Square. The event served as the official kickoff of the Keep New York City Beautiful coalition's Great American Cleanup initiatives. NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Denis Hayes, one of the founding organizers of Earth Day were joined by environmental and business leaders, celebrities and performers for a rousing Earth Day rally.
