Keep America Beautiful

Education Partners

Education is the starting point for sustainable lifestyles.

Keep America Beautiful provides educators with tools to teach the fundamentals to build and sustain vibrant communities through activities about litter prevention, preserving our resources, responsible solid waste management, and how to reduce, reuse and recycle. Many KAB  educational programs are sponsored by leading corporations and are developed with the help of other national organizations and federal agencies. All programs are designed to be locally adaptable to meet the needs of individual communities.

The Waste in Place resource guide was funded through a generous contribution by the Wrigley Company Foundation. The Waste in Place kit includes multi-dimensional educational programs that encompass activities for classroom learning, three children's books (The Jalapeno Seed, Where Does Gum Go and If It's Litter), story cards, a playing card and a board game.

Keep America Beautiful works with a number of nonprofit organizations to support our education mission. We encourage these partnerships so that the results we are achieving can be multiplied from community to community across the country.
