Education Partners

Education is the starting point for sustainable lifestyles. Keep America Beautiful's curricula teach the fundamentals of litter prevention, preserving our resources, responsible solid waste management, and how to reduce, reuse and recycle.   Many KAB  educational programs are sponsored by leading corporations and are developed with the help of other national organizations and federal agencies. All programs are designed to be locally adaptable to meet the needs of individual communities.

KAB's strives to create multi-dimensional educational programs that encompass classroom learning, web-based learning, multimedia, and printed materials.

In 2003, more than 900,000 young people attended Keep America Beautiful classroom presentations; an additional 217,000 attended youth group and club presentations.  Nearly 9,000 teachers attended training sessions and learned to use Keep America Beautiful educational tools.
