When: From March 1 through May 31
What: Cleanup, fix-up, paint-up, green-up to help keep your community beautiful. Activities can include litter cleanups; litter-free events, school and community playground/park cleanup, renovation or construction; any type of community beautification (e.g. Adopt-A-Spot); roadway cleanup and beautification; clothing collection; reduce, reuse, recycle activities/education; river, lake, seashore cleanups; graffiti removal; cell phone recycling fundraisers; and much more. You can have as many events as you want during the program period.
Who: Your Great American Cleanup can involve volunteers from all walks of life … from Boy Scouts to business leaders, Governors, Mayors, VIPs and celebrities ... from schools to garden clubs, bicycle clubs, community groups, sororities, fraternities, sports teams, the military, etc.

o.b. tampons: "o.b.® mighty. small.™ challenge", The makers of o.b.® tampons are encouraging volunteers from your local college and university campuses to work in teams (consisting of 2-5 volunteers) to see who can make the mightiest impact during the Great American Cleanup™. If one of your volunteer teams wins, o.b.® tampons will make a $5,800 donation to your local KAB affiliate and an additional $5,800 donation to the charity/organization of the team’s choice. If the team chooses your KAB affiliate as their favorite charity, your affiliate has the chance to receive a donation of up to $11,600! Affiliates can download a detailed overview document from the KAB Affiliate Forums website (located in the file cabinet under "o.b. mighty. small. challenge").
